Ha. I know where I can get 1924 and a Russell's 13 for that price if I was willing to spend that much. I've bought a lot of bourbon this year and a few ryes, but $70/bottle is usually my cutoff. Anything over $100/bottle before tax is getting left on the shelf.
Rumor is it's just 10 yr aged Early Times, left over from before Brown-Foreman sold the ET brand. Same mash bill as ET.
I'd like to try it, but I'm probably not a buyer at retail, much less $200+ secondary pricing.
For years, I refused to own a pistol that required pulling the trigger as part of the process of disassembly because I viewed it as an ND waiting to happen. Eventually I relented and now own a couple where pulling the trigger is a necessary step to take the slide off. And just like I was...
I went turkey hunting yesterday for the first time this season. It was also only the 5th day of turkey hunting in my life. It didn't start off well as I overslept a bit and didn't get to the woods until almost 7am. Spooked some deer getting to where I wanted to set up and some of them ran...
You can ask me whatever you want to know. I suppose if a ODT trip is going to happen this year, it's gonna fall on me to set it up.
I go at least once a month up to Rock Creek for a weekend, if not twice a month. May be going next weekend depending on weather and how turkey hunting goes this...
We did do that for 8 years in a row. @hikingthehills was too busy to go last year so it didn't happen. Seems he's not going to make it this year either.
No personal experience yet, tho I am in the process of acquiring parts for a 8.6 AR10, probably 5-6 months for barrel to get here.
From the research I've done before deciding to go with 8.6, it seems that 375 Raptor outperforms it in most, if not all, categories. The only thing that swayed me...
Well, like I said, I didn't really know what to look for so I asked here. The pricing and quantities they claim to have available was what made me suspicious. I wasn't really looking for 500-1000 rds anyway. Appreciate y'all.
Came across this place online looking for ammo and while it appears legit to me, I have never come across this site before. The pricing seems suspiciously low to me considering pricing on other sites.
Anyone dealt with them or know anything about them?
I just went and pulled out a bottle of Michter's Rye and had a pour. Oddly, I thought I didn't like it before, but now I find it quite good. As far as comparing it to Sagamore, I think the Sagamore has quite a bit more flavor and a lot better finish, particularly if comparing the Double Oak...
Tonight's new pours.
Not particularly impressed with either one, but they are both decent. I like the Old Pepper more than the Ben Holladay. I'm hoping they will be better after they've been open for a bit.
They can kinda be a-holes about that kinda thing. I ran into one last year, a buddy and I were trout fishing, had 7 trout total between two of us. All 7 fish were in the same bag in the cooler on ice. He asked to see what we had caught and then made a remark about which one of us sucked at...
They are in Duluth. Never said they were involved with Bersa, was just mentioning another relatively new to the market 1911 manufacturer, that happens to be local.
I revisited the Sagamore Cask Strength and the Sagamore Sherry Finish again last night. I have to say I've changed my mind on the CS. After being open a little while, it lost some of the spiciness that I wasnt fond of. It still has some spice to it, but it's not as overpowering as it was when I...
Quietest is going to be something with a larger volume like a Dead Air Nomad L. But given what I've heard about Dead Air QC and CS issues, I'd prob opt for the Diligent Defense Enticer L titanium. About the same price as the regular Nomad L and the same size. I've got a Nomad L and with subs...
From what I've seen of their other products, I wouldn't buy one. There is another company that has a local facility producing 1911s and 2011s in Duluth, Alpha Foxtrot, but from what I've seen of their pricing and what I've heard of their QC I'd steer clear of them too.
