Best Caliber for DEER hunting in GA.

Well biker13, there ya have it. Put five people in a room with this question and you're likely to get five different answers. This question has been around sinse modern powder. Personelly with my particular disability, I have stepped down over the last few years from an '06 all the way to now using a .260 and with managed recoil ammo. [don't want to chance any crackling bones.]

30-30 normally but started bow hunting last year and plan on only using a bow this year. I didnt have any luck last year with the bow, but have high hopes this year.

I have quite a few different calibers ready to go at any time during hunting season, but I always walk out the door with my .270 for some reason.

I would love to have a 7x57 in a carbine length, it would fill my needs nicely.

.308 is nice, but my primary is a 30-06. Mainly because the Win model 70 I have shoots so sweet!

(I started with a 30-30, but lost faith after I had to trail a well-hit deer to hell and back.. Never had to trail far with the 30-06. (Pretty much drops their asses!)
