Is it stainless or blued steel?

Colt has never used stainless to make a SAA. (I wish they would) so it's either blued or nickel plated.

Also, if you could give the name of the artist who engraved it, it might help sell it.

I used to use the gun doing cowboy action shooting. It's a shooter not just a safe queen. As far as the finish there's not one. It's what they call in the "white".
When I purchased it , it was nickel plated. I sent it off to a guy up in the midwest to strip it. Then I gave it to Herman to work his magic. I thought about having it silver plated but it looks great the way it is.
The friend who engraved it is Herman Wingruber. They call him "Herman the German"
