My 1st and last ND Very nasty pics. I get to go back to work

I think about your story all the times when I transition from holster to safe or get guns ready for night. I use to get carless every once and awhile and sweep toward my off hand but even when you are clear of the trigger crap can happen. It really brings it home that you have to be 100% safe 100% of the time, 99% gets a finger blown off.

Speedy recovery to you. I think its great you posted this to remind everyone of safety first. I know someone who accidentally shot themselves,it puts a whole different spin on how you see firearms safety.

OK i guess all my pictures got deleted or lost during the change over so here they are again with some notes.

No caption necessary I'm sure you can figure this one out.

These two are approximately 15 days after the accident when I got fitted for the splint and they cleaned and changed out the dressing.

This is the engine that I and I alone replaced out of a Lincoln navigator on August 8th almost 4 months to the day after my ND. I pushed my self very hard to get back to work. If any of you know cars and trucks you know this 5.4l twin cam is no cake walk. I went back to work 7 weeks after my ND. It was a bitch but I could not alow my Self to puss out. I did this and I was determined to gain full use of my hand again. FYI from start finish on the engine was roughly 22 hrs not straight obviously
