SHTF ammo storage

I just use army ammo cans. Ive had some ammo stored outside in them for years. Not one bit of water or moisture! I shoot some out of it from time to time to check.

I guess I should have clarified. I mean this is a BO scenario. You HAVE to leave your cave with what you and yours can carry on their backs. I was thinking shape wise these things would slip great into a pack.

Id Just load up every single mag I have and then roll with it. I bought a bunch of east german mag pouches for that vary reason. I can carry every mag I own and I gain 30 lbs very quickly!

That's kinda what I thought! If I'm footing it, I would definately load up a bunch of AR mags and hope for the best!

that is a CAMELBAK..... SHTF you need to be hydrated!!! Not storing ammo, if you need more room i'll send you a pair of Marine Corps trousers so you can stuff your ammo in the cargo pockets!

I think you missed the point. I got the hydration thing taken care of.
