Its sad when us who are proud of our southern heritage are labeled a bunch of racist bigots by a bunch of liberal idiots. My great, great, great grandfather fought in that war. I found out I also have some relation to Robert E. Lee. I will gladly fly the confederate flag with pride and anyone...
Yep ringneck snake. Common harmless snake. I find garter snakes in my yard every once in a while. I dont mind them at all. If its poisonous snake however he wont live long. Especially since my rugrat loves playing out in the yard.
I agree! A lot of old stills back then were just ordinary metal oil drums. The ax chops and metal barrel bands suggest it was an old still. Plus it was next to a creek so that adds to it. Wouldve loved to see the story unfold from start to finish!
Found this ol liquor in the woods on my dad's property while scouting out a spot for a climber stand. Pretty cool to see. It has the ax chops in it where the revenuers busted it up. Even found metal barrel bands next to it where they had their mash in old wood slat barrels. No telling how old...
Our occupation is pipeline. Water, storm and sewer line. When i was little my toys were tonka tractors, toy excavators and dozers. My favorite was my remote control caterpillar trackhoe. By the time i was 5 i could operate dad's jcb backhoe good enough to dig stumps out of the yard. Momma had to...
It truly is one out of 1,000 pics that gets your attention. My favorite one so far. I plan to have plenty of copies made and blown up. Something we can cherish later!
Its funny to watch him grow. He learns so fast its crazy. I cant imagine life without him. He may be the baby but he's turned his daddy into a softy. It reminds me of that song by Gary Allan. When tough little boys grow up to be dads they turn into big babies again. Nothing tops off a long day...
I understand that. Growing up i always slightly resented my father for always being at work every chance he got. The older i got i started to realize more and more why he did it.
Oh i know. When i was 5 my dad would let me dig stumps up out of the yard all by myself with a jcb backhoe. I was too small to reach the pedals so dad or mom would drive it for me and let me operate the boom.
My wife snapped this pic of my 1.5yr old son watching me replace our drain pipe to our septic tank. I was operating my dad's komatsu 35 mini ex. Looks like it would be a great advertisement for komatsu or construction work in general ha!
The larger one may have been a black racer. Definitely true about not many benefits to being a snake. Sadly there are very very few reptile lovers around. Most see a snake and instantly think kill it!! A snake is no different than any other critter around, it cannot help or change what it is.
