I like the 1-4x for my plinking on my SCAR 17s. I have a message out to trijicon to see their opinion of this combo, durability wise. I will post it here if the bother to respond.
due to age i guess, I can no longer focus on sights and target. I am a plinker and would like to be able see the target, so a 1-4 would suit me just fine.

Bear in mind that everything about the dealership, even the way a salesman greets you, is choreographed to render the best results for the dealership. No one there is your friend.
