If it's aluminum, the best way is scrubbing and soaking in something like simple green. Ultrasonic or the dip are no go for aluminum. If you have a rotary tumbler you can try that but if there are any threads you need to protect them somehow. The stainless will peen them over and you're gonna...
Well, that last group had a ES of 19 with single digit SD. 2500 fps with a 90 gr bullet ain't bad. Especially out of a gasser. Play with seating depth a little and see if it will tighten the group up
Gas operated and a semi auto. Lead is probably asking for trouble. As for the bullet weight it's probably to help with timing the slide cycle. The DE was made for the 50ae which is effectivley a blown out 44 mag. So if you shrink the charge and bullet weight for the 357 it probably took some...
I didn't hate mine. Only drawback is the depth of the magwell makes it hard to insert the 10 rd rotary mags. And God bless your soul if the empty mag doesn't drop by gravity. Would highly recommend buying the 15 rd stick mags if your gonna buy the archangel.
22 cans. Dead air mask, rugged occulus, sico switchback, tbac 22TD, CGS hydra SS, Q El Camino. All good options
Pretty much anything with a shielded baffle stack and either stainless or titanium baffles will suffice.
Don't own a 9mm can but if I did, tbac fly 9
Pew science is trying. Measures sound data in milliseconds and uses said data to extrapolate relative back pressure.
Otherwise its the age old convention that to quiet a rifle you have to slow and hold the gas coming out the end of the barrel. Cans that do this the best are usually quietest...
Considering you will be running a gas gun, I would focus more on back pressure than the quietest option. Gas in your face kinda sucks. DMLS cans can probably give you the best balance. Huxwurx or CGS would get my vote.
Yea, not worth the risk. Even a gun with a can is going to eject small amounts of lead into the immediate area. Im pretty sure lead and fetuses are a no go.
The supersonic crack even with can is still over the "safe threshold" and it's not worth the baby's ears. Give out a raincheck for post...
The AR platform is kinda the sum of its parts. The mating surface between the upper and lower are important. The BCG, barrel and barrel ext are integral to feeding and accuracy. The gas port, tube/piston and and buffer assembly for cycling.
So trigger, you can skimp on the trigger. And stock I...
