You will not be able to detect a weight difference, brass case weight variation will make your efforts a waste of time-unless, maybe, if all the brass is from the same lot.
Sounds like you did not have enough powder in the one round that got stuck.
I dought the bullet had anything to do with the trouble. But, If one in a few hundred rounds got stuck, a second round will likely get stuck if you still have a few hundred rounds to shoot.
You might try Bullseye, Unique, TiteGroup, Red Dot, Promo, Clay Dot, Clays, Universal Clays or 2400. Trail Boss may never be available again.
They have all been used successfully. I like 15 - 17grains of 2400 with a Large Pistol Primer.
Hodgdon uses 7.4 TiteGroup with 175 grain bullet.
Better grab that 750–he wouldn’t have a bench full of them if they were not good.
40 is the easiest caliber to reload in your list. Just be careful not to overcharge it. I recommend you start with 40, then 9mm.
