  1. Happy Infringement Day!

You know, I've read both accounts. I can't actually corroborate whether he died before the scheduled date or after. Ultimately, the problem was he was absent. His counsel failed but with no defendant and no affidavit and nobody paying them, they couldn't and didn't argue the case. The judges...
  2. Happy Infringement Day!

Well, to be more precise, happy St. Valentine's Day Massacre Day! On this day in 1929, 7 'Bugs Moran' gang members were shot to death by Al Capone's henchmen. No big deal, right? WRONG! This incident was the impetus of the 1934 National Firearms Act, arguably the biggest infringement on the...
  3. Dual CS1242 Record Turntable Troubleshooing Assistance

The magic is going to be in the white box. It has the speed and power contacts in it. You'll have to find a way to get inside of it and look at the inner workings. I doubt the motor is bad, though it is a possibility.
  4. The absolute moronic insanity from Dementia Joe continues…. it's about time for a "High Noon Showdown"….

Isn't this how the first uncivil war started? When the fed gov started trying to tell states what they could and could not do outside the confines of the Constitution? It also seems like the same battle lines are being drawn, something around the Mason-Dixon line... #istandwithtexas
  5. Damn expensive hobbies!

I have both. It's a balancing act. All hobbies can get stupid expensive right quick!
  6. Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

Whoo Hoo! Christmas dinner right there! Thanks!
  7. Finally- Jack Reacher done Right!

I took Wed-Friday off next week partially to watch season 2 guilt free! I just hope they dump the season like they did for the first! If I have to wait week to week, I'll go crazy!! LOL
  8. Post up your reviews - Favorite BBQ restaurant?

Williams Bros here in Canton. Wife and I ate there Sunday and it occurred to me that I've NEVER been disappointed with their BBQ! The Brisket was perfect as usual, they nailed the chicken, pork and ribs and I freaking love their Brunswick stew! They are consistent and have the formula down pat.
  9. Item Gone: FS Mosin M44 @ 16.5"... Flashbang... thing... But it's a rifle...

I'm sickened but curious! The most dangerous spot has to be behind that thing when it goes off!
  10. Garland Mtn is selling cases of shotgun shells while they last

I emailed moments after receiving their email. They responded with all stock has been accounted for, none left.
  11. Garland Mountain Burns Down

I saw that this morning. I love that place! We've been there many times and even a few times just for brunch. Love the atmosphere and views. I hope they rebuild quickly and keep the same motif!
  12. FEMA test today 10/4/23 CELL, TV, RADIO

I was on a call, just a minute after I hung up, I got the alert. Didn't even look at it, hit "ok" and it went away. Not even sure what it said.
  13. FEMA test today 10/4/23 CELL, TV, RADIO

Everyone needs to reply with "FJB" to get taken off the list :)
  14. Really? No way to silence a FEMA Alert Test?

Liberals do that every day though....
  15. High school reunions…who goes to them?

Nope, never been probably never will. Mostly because it's 1200 miles away from me! I had a blast in HS, but that was then... Can't relive it and I'm afraid I'd be depressed at how a lot turned out.
  16. Two things that will slow time to an absolute crawl......

Don't forget low planks... they actually reverse time!
  17. Handy talkies

Almost all portable handy-talk radios are pretty much line of sight. They operate on VHF and UHF frequencies which are relatively short range. You aren't going to get more than a few miles at best out of them unless you're using repeaters. Repeaters work because of the two great advantages...
  18. Any Automotive Sound Experts out there ??

My advice is to call Crutchfield. They are truly the experts in car audio and can advise you on exactly what you need. The other option is to see if someone rebuilds the amps. If you go that route, get all of them done at once. If one goes bad, the others are going to follow.
  19. Worst recoiling gun you've shot.

Well, all Boys rifles were originally .55, the one I shot was re-barreled to .50BMG to be imported into the US. BUT, it also had a better brake on it (dual vent). I think that designated it the MKII. I did shoot one round without the brake and I actually skidded back about 4 inches! LOL!
  20. Worst recoiling gun you've shot.

Was it chambered in .55 or .50BMG? I shot that rifle in .50BMG and it wasn't bad... compared to the 378 Weatherby Magnum I shot next!! I would have had scope eye but my glasses saved me! Yup, worst recoil I have ever felt!
