    You may be mixing up a Gen 3 style barrel with a gen 4 recoil spring (or vice versa). The relief cut on the barrel for the recoil spring changed between generations.

    The cylinder I have is actually a 6 shot 22 Mag cylinder so may not fit that frame if it was designed for only 22LR. OAL for my part is approximately 1.610”. If you think it may work let me know.

    I’m assuming you mean FRS, not GMRS as GMRS requires a license. If you are just looking for something to use like a walkie talkie at relatively close range the FRS radios will do very well. CBs are dead, for the most part, and should not be revived.

    I love the Mini-14 platform, but you should do some research on it before you plunk down the cash. They have issues (Mainly accuracy related) that you should be aware of even if you decide they aren’t deal breakers. Do you have other firearms already?
