im the same way. they are good but not for the ask most of the time. the only release of theirs i really loved that seemed fair was the fable and folly, that is still a great bottle.
every time me and my buddies go it seems like the only folks who are doing anything shady look and act like they are undercover for a 3 letter. I see the same guy every time selling almost nothing but 3 or 4 "solvent traps" and he always looks like the most obvious bait i've ever seen.
fox will kill a several and leave them for the hope of coming back for them later. fox assumes they may not still be there if it were to come back, smarter to kill as many as it can and just keep coming back for the bodies.
A good and long easter did require something good at the end of the night and decided to bust this one open. Killed its brother a couple weeks back and was prob my favorite bottle of 23.
if you can get one of their cask strength ryes they can be some of the best i've ever had. I had a bourbon junkies pick of their that was a 142 proof and it was jaw droppingly good.
yah everyone has their tastes. i personally love ER but also mainly as my bar bottle. It tasted alot better when it was 23 bucks for a bottle and not 40+
