    Your right about splitting hairs, I grew up hunting in Nebraska with a 243 WIN, now hunt with a 270 WIN, have hunted with a 300WSM. I have harvested multiple deer at 75 to 375 yds and all are terminally effective with proper shot placement.

    The 6.5 creedmor is a stellar big game round, higher velocity, ballistically superior if you ever get to stretch it out on a power line and less recoil than a 308.
