    It depends a lot on what bullet weight you are loading. I have had good luck with A2200 in some bullets, H322 works well for others. CFE Black works well for 90gr Gold Dots. A2200 for 120gr SST and 110gr, H322 for 100gr Accubond, also works well for 90gr.

    I do cast but not really sure about using cast lead in a semi auto Ruger 44 carbine. I have heard it could foul the gas port but not sure, if using gas checks I would think it would be ok. What do you think?

    Glad I stocked up when I did. I should have enough to last my lifetime if I don't open a shooting range or anything. Projectiles are another story. 240/260 grain SJSP are about non existent for 44 mag.

Different brands have slightly different capacities so putting the same charge weight in a case that has higher or lower capacity than the one right next to it will give you different velocity. For hunting or plinking ammo I don't worry about it much but for target shooting...
