  1. 6.8 subsonic

You might try out 68forums.com. A lot of good info there.
  2. 6.8 subsonic

    Negative on the subs.
  3. Reloading for 308 win SA

I personally use full length sizing dies and adjust them to just bump the should back a few thousandths. I have never owned a set of small base dies. If you set your dies up using brass fired in your rifle then you should be fine even when sizing range brass or what ever. I have also never owned...
  4. Discolored Brass

I put it in an RCBS media seperator and sling most of the water out of it then put it on cookie sheets in the oven on 225 for about 30-40 minutes and it comes out nice and dry. Of course I don't have any females around bitching at me about it so I do what I want. :D
  5. Discolored Brass

I quit buying lemi shine years ago. I use citric acid from the canning area of you grocery store or wal mart. It is about 1/4th the price and lasts a lot longer. Guess what the active ingredient in Lemi shine is. Citric acid...
  6. Garmin Xero Chrony

I watched a video review and they had at least 8 or 10 shooters lined up on the shooting bench, each with their own Garmin and no problems with picking up each others shot. I was looking at getting the labradar because I let someone talk me out of mine but I think I will go with the garmin if I...
  7. A question for you veteran Reloaders

Same here. Never stuck a case or had any problems since switching to Imperial 10 years ago. Still using the first can.
  8. 6.8spc. testing

It depends a lot on what bullet weight you are loading. I have had good luck with A2200 in some bullets, H322 works well for others. CFE Black works well for 90gr Gold Dots. A2200 for 120gr SST and 110gr, H322 for 100gr Accubond, also works well for 90gr.
  9. 5.56 or 223 ammo check

Lake City in 5.56. I would have to say 55gr since that is what we used back in the '70s.
  10. 260rem

It is illegal if you are engaged in the business of selling or distributing ammo for a profit without a license. I don't see anything in that saying you could not help a friend find a load for his gun and him compensate you for or provide his own materials.
  11. Powder availability

You cannot blame it on the retailers. There has never really been much money to be made on powders at the retail level. The price I have to pay right now to buy powder wholesale is about what I used to be able to get it for at retail. As you stated, by the time I pay hazmat and shipping then the...
  12. Small pistol primers

I have actually just started powder coating as well. I have not loaded any of my powder coated bullets yet.
  13. Small pistol primers

That and I like to be as self sufficient as possible too. Just in case.
  14. Small pistol primers

I do cast but not really sure about using cast lead in a semi auto Ruger 44 carbine. I have heard it could foul the gas port but not sure, if using gas checks I would think it would be ok. What do you think?
  15. Small pistol primers

Glad I stocked up when I did. I should have enough to last my lifetime if I don't open a shooting range or anything. Projectiles are another story. 240/260 grain SJSP are about non existent for 44 mag.
  16. Small pistol primers

    Not awful? :hand:
  17. Where do you buy your components?

Damn I hope not. Keep looking at a Dillon 750 but with component prices the way they are it makes me not want to bother.
  18. Where do you buy your components?

Good luck is all I can say. Primers have been crazy for the last two years and powder not much better.
  19. Accuracy and 223 from an AR platform brass question

Definitely matters. Different brands have slightly different capacities so putting the same charge weight in a case that has higher or lower capacity than the one right next to it will give you different velocity. For hunting or plinking ammo I don't worry about it much but for target shooting...
