Careful, I still got chickens and boxes. For a commuter, Prius is okay for what it is. Not nearly as comfortable as my Ridgeline on longer trips. -

Wife has a RAV4 hybrid and it is a lot quicker than the previous Rav4 she had. AWD and get about 40% or so better milage (she drives it HARD). Replaced the tires are 86k and still have original brakes on it. Unless you know it is a hybrid, it drives just like any other car. -

Buddy has a 2009 BMW that can be shut off remotely. Nothing new here, just depends on who wants it shut down and why. -

We own 2 hybrids and like them for commuting. I can overlook the few tradeoffs getting 53.2mpg for 40k in my Prius. I would not own a full EV car just due to all the charging headaches. EV vehicles (called golf carts) have been around for a long time and I grew up with them. That being said... -

My son has built an electric bike that is making 214hp at the rear wheel and weights 300#. Currently working on a few things with it before they take it to the track for testing. He keeps wanting me to try it out; but I'm too old to heal up fast and my reflexes as not as quick anymore. -

Anybody convert the headlamps to HID or LED units.
I put LED's in my 17 Camery (Amazon ones) and made a huge difference in night driving. The only issue is that I some times got static back thru the radio from them and could hear them cooling down after stopping. The vehicles we drive daily both have factory LED's and there is a big difference... -

My Hond Ridgeline AWD was about $325 for Trans and dif service, so that sounds about right. Someone else will have to chime in on the other items. -

In market for a new 4x4 Pickup - what brand?
Honda Ridgeline. I wanted/needed a pickup for occasional use and it has fit the bill perfectly. Think really nice SUV with a practical bed and storage locker under it. 280hp V6 with AWD and getting over 24 mpg. -

Mine had a Kawi 360 with ape hangers when I met her. She is pretty open to things. Joking told her I found a Barrett 50 for a good price. Her response was if it will make you happy, get it. -
Done with Nissan….need ODT car buying advice
I own a 19 Ridgeline and have already put 61k on it. Rides like a lux SUV with the longer wheelbase. I have gotten just under 25mpg since it was new. Typical Honda and if you like the Passport, you will feel right at home. -

Wife is working on her 3rd RAV4 (hybrid this time) and loves them. Hard to beat Toyota and Honda on ease of ownership. I drive a 19 Ridgeline with 50k now and basic maintenance is all I have done to it. After the way Ford treated us on our last vehicle, they are a NO-GO regardless of price... -
