it's an match grade Olympic type pistol in 22lr used by russian olympic team
these seem new and the grip will need to be carved properly for your hand, the parts for it are hard to find. Their disassembly and reassembly make 20 ruger mark 3 look like a walk in the park
if the government would stop trying to outlaw and regulate ak47 so much then they could be cheaper. I want a Russian or former soviet union countries ak variant with all the original furniture and hardware, not with americna replacement parts.
imagine if in order for a mosin to be legal you...
hex mag just came on the scene too late after the panic some years ago and didn't really offer anything different nor a much cheaper price.
the mags worked for me when I had a ar
to be fair it also costs $8 shipping if you only buy/want one, so the price wasn't as far off as you would think. also he reacted in a manner that said that he didn't know its online price when he found out
the seller is a really nice guy though
-you want the bolt and the receiver to have the same serial number, if the bottom plate, buttplate, bolt and receiver have the same number all the better(if it doesn't but it still closes smooth then your good)
-no long split in the wood stock directly behind receiver
-most have counter-bored...
how much do you think it cost to refurbish a mosin in the 40s and 50s, and then add the shipping cost to bring it to the united states? then add 15% of the cost to it
that is the formula i'd use to price the raw cost of a mosin
good to know that, the finnish didn't even try to remove the manufacturer mark from the mosin. it was early soviet union so lenin and stalin was busy trying to take full control at that point
the m39 came in
the "bad"
- it has a surface crack all along the center of the hand guard (doesn't go all the way through)
-the stock does have a few dents in it and chipped wood
-bluing is worn somewhat (to be expected)
- 2 small rust spots under hand guard
the good
-has the vkt mark stamped...
they were russian 91/30 and then the finnish replaced the barrel, new heavier stock, put in a new trigger, better barrel bands to accommodate more modern slings, added shims where needed for accuracy, free floated the barrel, etc
but sadly the bayonets are hard to find as the bayonet was rather...
did anyone get their m39 form this batch yet? does it include the sling, oil bottle or maintenance tools? (i love the oil bottles they provide)
i ordered a regular vkt m39 to complete my mosin collection
