Had to go to NYC for a meeting last year... amazing that it took me until almost 40 to actually step foot in that city (having grown up traveling the world as an Army brat and living in the northeast for over a decade), but I have no interest in ever returning.
I lived in NY until 2011 and knew people with true arsenals, including a couple C&R folks. I don't know what happened afterwards, but SAFE was a huge turning point and I'm sure a lot of possessions got lost in boating accidents on central and upstate lakes.
