There can be huge differences within pistols, using the same can and ammo. At one time I had a Walther P22 and a Sig Mosquito (turd). The Walther was movie-quiet, but the Sig didn't sound like it had much of a suppressor out front at all. The can manufacturer told me that the microsecond that...
** Update **
Traded yesterday for a very nice, Winchester 94 in 30-30. Purported to be a 1972. Nice shape. Can't wait to shoot!
Regarding the above thread, my Pop always LOVED the westerns when I was a kid. Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Branded, Rawhide, The rifleman... craziest thing, though, my house...
I can't wait. Probably leaning towards a 44 mag/spl, as I carry a Bulldog a lot in the summer. Nice to consolidate calibers when possible. As I don't yet hunt (reading the news, we ALL might be hunting for our food in a year or so), I like decent iron sights. One thing that the lever-haters fail...

Updated post from a week or so back. Just left Cumming Academy. LOTS of steel .223; .45; .380 (big boxes); .450 Bushmaster; 28 Gauge; and a few more (as of 3:35 on 2/2). Didn't have my phone/camera on me. Can't remember all. It doesn't seem to make it to the shelves, they just bring out a cart...
Dumbass questions that I don't know the simple answer to:
1) I have several DA revolvers, some with grooved trigger, some smooth. Quality seems not to be a factor. Is this just personal preference, or is there an advantage to one for a good shooter?
2) I keep seeing .224 Predator mentioned...
