Evidently mine is all Springfield Armory from the late 40's. Got a Arsenal refit in 53. Only the trigger group is non SA, its Harrington and Richardson.

So, I just got my hands on a all original 1943 Smith- Corona rifle. Only its original stock got sporterized. Now I want to make this a memorial piece to my Grandfather and name it an heirloom to my children someday.
Anyone have a spare or a nice complete stock kit? Maybe a nice stained one...

Theres only one commercial choice I really like, but while it is powerful the bullets are in the 196 grains. A bit heavy for deer. Hence why I wanted to go with 170 SSTS
