Pretty much have carried a Kahr P9, or CW9 exclusively for well over two decades. Loads 8 rounds, weighs in the snub revolver class, and has a fine trigger.
Overpriced is not selling a SKS for $900 when others are.
Overprice is listing one for $900 when others are listing theirs for $300.
Worth/Value of anything is defined by what, at least some, are willing to pay.
Not by what you, individually, want to pay.
PM9 = Better barrel, better trigger (imo) due to articulating slidestop.
More sight options
For a close in weapon, I don't know if those feature mean much..... might make a diff at 20 yards though.
Especially if you think (as a seller) or fear (as a buyer) that said "gold" will not stay at 1000/oz, or drop, but in a week will be at 1400/oz.
Such things do happen, in a market economy.
The pricing "thing" is no different than Gold.
If I buy at 300/oz, and six months later, the market price is 1000/oz, I sell at 1000.
Simple economics .....any product or service is worth that which someone is willing to pay.
1/2 hour drive (average) to get there.
At some, 10 minutes spent trying to find a parking space.
10 bucks to get in.
1/2 hour drive home.
Cost of 15 bucks or so, and an hour's time, under best circumstances, to look at LESS selection than the Net offers, at higher prices than the...
All Kahrs are +P rated, if the caliber offers plus P.
While there is loss of efficacy using +P rounds in shorter barrels, they will still be faster, usually, than non +P from the same barrel.
+P in .45ACP, especially with the heavier bullets of that round, does not add sufficient velocity...
I have no brand loyalty as to firearms, or much else that is sold, for that matter.
My current carry gun is made by Kahr, and I carry itONLY because it meets more of the criteria I set for a CCW than does any other make/model available on the market.
If someone builds and markets...
The .380, especially of of the short barrel on a LCP, is for me, too little.
The penetration verages around 8 inches, onlly 2/3rd's of that the FBI says is the minimum in Ordnance Gel.
For me, 9mm+P is a minimum, and I don't think you do any better with a .40S&W, or a .45ACP.
As to your...
Just the same as if you bought off GB, and it was shipped to the FFL.
The FL owner can bring the gun into GA, then a GA FFL can "put it on the books", and transfer to a GA resident.
I did a purchase with a guy from Greenville, SC that way.
And to add, the FFL that ultimately transfers the gun to you, on a handgun purchase, must be in your home State.
So you can not even cross the border, and buy from an individual using a FFL in Florida ....unless that FFL then ships the gun to one in Georgia, where you complete the process.
To each his own, I guess, but I do all 4 with one pistol, my Kahr P40.
For the OP, your price range limits you somewhat, another $100.00 i the kitty, to $400.00, and you likely double your options.
FWIW, a Kahr CW9, which is a fairly gun range, carry, and HD pistol, in 9mm, can be had...
That's just incorrect.
They are working within the law, passed by Congress.
Myself, I'll be interested to see what the ruling is, because, as imported, I think the Saiga-12 CAN be shown to have a sporting purpose, at least as much so as any other shotgun.
Now, modified out like a Tromix...
True, but SAAMI exterior dimensions of the cartridge remain the same.
* Kahrs are somewhat known, in all calibers, to have "tight" chambers, and can have issue with a specific a brand or two of ammo (not usually all types that a single manufacturer makes).
* Shorter barrel .45ACP's, (under...
And to me, it was the Kahr, after trying out the Sig 239. I guess that is why there is more than one company making 'em, we all have different tastes. ;)
