A Ruger international M77 left hand in 6.5x55. I don't think they made one, but it sure would be nice.
Too be 40 years younger and have the legs to hunt the Adirondack mountains like I did as a kid. Those were great times.
I've carried a .38 J frame since 1980. My son the Major bought me a glock 19 for fathers day a few years ago. Said I needed more fire power now a days.
Here's a photo of the Major at the office in Germany.
I just went through the same decision. I'm also 58 and started in law enforcement in 1980. Have carried a SS snubbie since then. But in this crazy world felt the need for more fire power. After months of research, mostly from here :usa: to me its a no brainer. G19 all the way! I was lucky...
I picked up a used Ruger ultralite w/ compact 2-7x32 leopold vx in .223 earlier this year ($350 :D). Has slimmer stock and thin 20" barrel. Very sweet handling rifle.
Used to have a Ruger #1 .243 and a Ruger red label 20ga years ago. Both had great wood. wish I still had them. Kids, college etc. you know how it goes.
Would love to have a Ruger #1 international in 6.5x55 swede with some of that nice wood Ruger used to have. That would be sweet!
Ithaca Mod 49(?) single shot lever action. Paid $29.95 in 1972 when I was 12. Bought it myself (mom did) with my paper route money. Must have put thousands of rounds thru that little gun. Taught me to be a Real good rifle shot. Loved it. Wish I still had it. When and if I become a grandfather...
Rossi .38 stainless snubbie, like new cond. w/ pacmeyer grip. Got it from a nurse while guarding a prisoner. Said she wanted something different. Told her it was worth maybe $200-$300. bought it sight unseen. $25.00 !!!
