    Colt Rifle/Pistol ???

    He has a Colt Specialist come in to appraise them. I would think they go by previous auction results to get a starting point before the condition kicks in. It wouldn't surprise me to find that the stock for that was worth more than the gun.

    I don't think your missing anything. The pre-auction estimate was $700-$1100. I think 2 guys just got into a pi**ing match.
