Does the mag match? Please say no cause someone killed a masterpiece if so. Great shooter and for me it’s my favorite pistol, the angle and all just feels so natural in my hand. Nothing modern feels as good. And the trigger pulls are so sweet and crisp.
Seeing talk of carcanos. I love them, especially the 7.35mm ones. If anyone reloads I’ve got a crap ton of projectiles. Also have brass but I’m keeping that. The 6.5 carcano can be used as a parent case though.

That’s the 7.35mm right? If so common issues are, you bury the front sight to the bottom of the rear when aiming under 200
Also are you using original ammo or true .300 ?
Mines great out to 100 and one of my favorites.
Yea I’m seriously considering GB for a few of mine but the shipping seems to be a hassle, probably only cause I’ve never shipped anything.
Also considering just consigning a few at LGS and see what happens.
Or most likely just throw em back in safe and wait for a better day.
Lucky you. Saw a Carbine stock last night didn’t see final sale but it was over $425 when I did see it. All metal and looked beautiful. Glad I wasn’t drinking :-)
Are all t38’s carbines ? Or do I need to confirm my barrel length? Picked mine up for a steal at a yard sale.
OP so looks like you and I are in the same boat.
I found same thing as you. perfect mum butchered stock. Looks like you have the stock with the cupped buttplate. What stocks I’ve been finding online haven’t been for our cupped version. And they typically are not for the Carbine version either...
Perhaps. I do stupid *%}?^ like buy a sling, brass, dies, etc for something I currently don’t have or reload for so that I can spend tons more to get it to use whatever it was I bought.
It’s a disease i tell you

This looks...
Very nice cleanup job on it, looks way better now. I too use only brass brush, found brass wool and oil is even better.
To get the rest of that brass out of those cylinder areas just use a patch soaked with hoppes 9 and rub it off.

Got my free hearing protection today. First time with anything electronic, seem pretty good. Now have to go to range to test :-)
Also found handy die boxes at cabelas! Was great I got to consolidate 8 round Lee holders for a single sizing die that took up tons of space, down to 2 single boxes...
