After spending 25+ yrs in the central pa & with the snowstorms that they had, I learned a few lessons on food temp.
1) the colder the temp, the hotter the food.
2) jalapeno & hotter peppers are your friend.
3) ground beef/turkey/venison all taste good, but snake & turtle meat turned into sausage...
Correct on Texas chili. As for the rest of the country, not really a problem with the whole "beans / no beans" argument.
My grandpa was once asked if he would taste a new dish someone wanted to try out.
His response, I think would work well here:
"Will it taste good with a cold beer?"
"If not...
I ate something that was called "white chili" in some roadside diner in n. ky once. I thought they used great northern, but personally, I like a mix of red kidney & pintos. :hungry:
Hmmm...? Not really cheating in my book. I mean, would it be cheating if shot my 30-30 one day and then the next went out with my 338? What my great grandmother & her giant wooden spoon would say is "The food is only bad if your talking & not eating!"
