  1. Shower thoughts on Universal Background Checks

Yep, pretty useless. Possibly if I took it in on trade from the original owner they might be able to trace it to me but not a very high probability.
  2. Shower thoughts on Universal Background Checks

    Eat any crayons lately? :)
  3. Shower thoughts on Universal Background Checks

Local and state LEO do not have that ability. They have to call and request it through the ATF. ATF would call the dealer and ask for the info. At least to the best of my knowledge.
  4. Shower thoughts on Universal Background Checks

There is no index or filing system period. The only way they can trace a firearm is to call the individual FFL and ask for the information, which we are required by law to give them. They call and say they need a trace, they give the serial number, manufacturer and model, when it shipped and who...
  5. Shower thoughts on Universal Background Checks

There is nothing wrong with that. If you have doubts (reasonable suspicion) then either don't do the deal or ask them to prove they are who they say they are, of legal age, a resident of the state etc. That is sticking to the letter of the law. To ask to see that info when there is no...
  6. Shower thoughts on Universal Background Checks

100%, or rolling up with out of state tags. Reasonable suspicion.
  7. Shower thoughts on Universal Background Checks

Also, there is no law saying you have to prove anything in a private sale. The law basically states that you cannot legally sell to someone if you have a reasonable suspicion they cannot own it.
  8. Boomers nutsack…

And you are a lot quicker at figuring out which folks are worth bothering with and which aren't and it has nothing to do with what year they were born or what made up generation name they fall into. Good folks are good folks whether they are 18 or 80. The rest is just made up nonsense.
  9. Boomers nutsack…

15 pages? Really? A thread someone decided not to post and still going on about it. F'ing amazing.
  10. Would you sell a gun to someone that wouldn’t fire but 20% of the time? Without disclosing this fact?

Then give them a negative and an ass whooping if you can.
  11. Would you sell a gun to someone that wouldn’t fire but 20% of the time? Without disclosing this fact?

I would contact the seller and see what they wanted to do to make it right and go from there.
  12. Every boomer on outdoors trader

    Nurses.
  13. Every boomer on outdoors trader

Winchester 1894, (another great Browning design) 130 years old. Huge surge in popularity in the last couple of years.
  14. Every boomer on outdoors trader

Absolutely. Plenty of boomers lugging those things around in SE Asia back in the day.
  15. Every boomer on outdoors trader

The Browning M2 is 106 years old and the B52 is 72.
  16. Every boomer on outdoors trader

Loving a 1911's beauty, simplicity and functionality has nothing to do with age or generation. It has to do with the ability to appreciate the finer things in life.
  17. “I will take it” traders with good feedback then back out

Thoughts: You were raised better than some.
  18. When listing an AR on ODT, why would you list it as a M16?

I took in a Ruger Blackhawk 41 mag that had never had a round even loaded in the cylinder. Guy bought it new and put it in the safe. Unfortunately he took it out of the safe once in a while and cocked the hammer a few times and lowered it just because he like to watch it function. Beautiful...
  19. When listing an AR on ODT, why would you list it as a M16?

So what about all those AR15s listed for sale that are really PA15s or CM15s, FN15 etc. Even Armalite, who the name AR was coined for/by lists their rifles as M15s. Last I checked it could not legally or technically be an AR15 unless it was made by Colt since they bought the rights and the name...
