You should be penalized for not being accurate. I shot the NRA TPC and they score hits on the line at the lower value. That really makes it tough to make mistakes. What is needed is some sort of balance but accurate shooting is far more important than just fast making noise.
Exactly what I am talking about. I shot a match where a guy with a miss and a lot of C hits won because he was blazing fast. It is the game and he played it well. I tend to be a mid pack shooter.
If you want to see what can be done on a small piece of dirt in an industrial area. Look at the Wyoming-Antelope club in Saint Petersburg Fl. They have out to 100 yards outdoors on a very small piece of dirt in the middle of an industrial area.
