    That black wire coming off the motor screw appears to abruptly end right at the Dual sticker. I would think that is ground for the motor, and would need to be connected somewhere? Throwing darts into the dark at best…

    Clean, clean, clean!…Degrease, grind out crack, stop drill ends…clean some more.... Pre heat, high nickel wire, peen it, and slow cool. Lots of pulse on the welder…
