I max out the Roth and 401k totals and just raised my withholding again. I'm looking to max everything out before I decide to retire later this year. Being debt free makes it a lot easier to do. Working on getting access to wife's 401k to increase amounts being put toward it. Since we are...
I've maxed out my 401k the last 5 years or so and since I'm over 55 that is a chunk of change missing from checks. Trying to play the long game and retire shortly (like very shortly). Refund is mainly because the wife made less in her contract job; but that means I get to see her more.
I keep good records and my yearly goal is to be within 1k total on either side. I consider this a break even point for us. I've had to file extensions; but with the extra accountant costs, it's just as easy to settle up and keep on living.
Monday is tax day. Anyone else making major changes to their tax planning this year after filing? We are getting a refund this year which means they got to use our money instead of us. Might have been because I bumped up my 401k withholding.
Anyone here ever deal with the Lloyd Group or Edelman Financial? Looks like I need to get a financial planner before I retire. If anyone has another suggestion, I open for the knowledge.
Did Dave Ramsey program about 10 years ago. Been debt free for about 8 years now. When we get a new car, 13 payments and it's done. Thinking hard about retirement and trying to talk wife into it also.
Does anyone besides me stick rare earth magnets to silver to see if it is non metallic? Checked all mine the other day and magnets didn't flag anything. They however tried to stick to a staple on some plastic packaging.
shop on peachtree parkway, coins and more, both have given me great deals compared to others.
I got excited until I found out that it is Peachtree Corners and not Peachtree City. Seems both have a Peachtree Parkway.
Tommy, thanks for the input.
Looking at long-term holding for a future date. I have a little; but don't really know what is a good balance to have. People with no silver will say I have a lot and people with silver will say I'm just getting started and need more. Just trying to diversify a...
This may have been asked before; but there are 8700 posts to comb thru. How much physical silver would you recommend holding and in what sizes, rounds, 5oz, 10oz? Somewhat new to this and inquiring minds want to know.
Noob PM question, does it matter on rounds or bars whose name is on them? I see 10oz bars from $257 to over $270. I own a few rounds and a couple of bars so asking before I get some more.
I've gotten a little silver from private sellers in the past. How many oz would someone suggest you have on hand if time get tough? Silver is like guns in that they don't go bad over time.
