    We had great time watching this old retiree show everyone on the Cedar Key pier how to catch a big Donkey on some cut catfish. Tide was going out so he had to reel vertical about 35' !!!

    Can't believe I've went6 pages on this thread and no mention of boaters who run 35,40,45,50 plus mph up and down the damn lake like it's the Lanier500 ! I understand if you are the only boat on the lake and it's a beautiful morning with flat water, but these cove darters should have their ass beat!

    Just take different weights (sizes) and use the lightest possible to get down without stopping and it should stay just above most hazards.
