I'm just waiting for all the scope snobs to chime in and bash you for wanting to buy a cheap scope. I posted about a UTG bugbuster a while back for a cheap ar build. I heard they were a decent option at 85 bucks, and all the responses I got were "its not gonna hold zero". Write a review after a while and let us know, I'd be interested in a good cheap 1x4 for my 30-30.

I just bought a Cabela's 1-4x24 and I love it. Took only 5 shots to zero it at 200 yards and it's stayed there ever since.
It's not a sub $100 scope ($149)…but it sure is cheaper than many others. Lighted reticle also!
