Got in the stand at 6:40. Less activity than yesterday, but have seen a doe, a forkhorn, and a nice 8 pointer. All are feeding on acorns. A lot of scraping and tree rubbing going on.

Just had two doe walk under the stand. Too much of angle for little man to get a shot. Waiting for group two now.
Any luck? Tomorrow will be 46 degrees in the morning! Can’t wait!
Well didn't see anything like we did last night. My Hawken BP rifle is slow to ignite. I am going to take the nipple off and clean it along with the barrel. Took me 3 caps to get it to fire after we were done today.

We are en route from Denver now the weather there made me want to hunt. @ 40 degrees this AM crisp dry air and beautiful sunrise. I did see some big does at the Sporting Clays shoot Friday looked like small cows from 300 yards or so away.
In a creek bottom with my 8 and 9 year old Daughters. Trying to get my 9 year old her first deer. Got some White Oaks dropping out in front of us. Good luck to all of you.
