Got a couple of pics of the start of the custom stock for my KA/GM build. Ambidextrous sporter in walnut with spalded maple trim. The fore arm is about 1 1/2” shorter than what he usually does to keep my 17” barrel in proportion (20” barrel in the pics). Thought I would share as it progresses.

I will post more as I get them from Mr. Jennings.

Too bad he doesn't have twins! I know a guy that has consecutive serial number pink stock 10/22's!

I just got a few more pics of progress on my stock.

the tape on the barrel is what a 17” barrel will look like in it.
I think this walnut is going to have some nice figure too.

I like these pics. I've always wanted to make my own stock for a rifle. I know I have the tools and ability. My concern is the fit of the trigger housing and barrel. Do you know how he got that part done?

Not exactly, I do know he uses a router and jigs to inlet for the receiver and trigger group. He posted up a bunch of pics a while back on rimfirecentral.com showing how he does it. I also know he does not have a stock duplicator, so every stock he does is unique. No two are exactly alike.

That’s actually not bad for a factory trigger. One of my carbines was over 8lbs. out of the box.
