About what does it cost to build a charger like those? I wouldn't mind building one some time. I wouldn't even know where to begin though
There are a couple of ways to go about it. Custom parts from start to finish but that gets stupid expensive. OR. Find a used charger and modify to your liking. PMACA chassis and AR tube and your done. OR buy the receiver then part it together over time.
If you use factory Ruger parts you can really keep the cost down. The PMAC chassis are a little pricey but the occasionally come up on ODT used as do buffer tubes. Having said all this $350 is probably the cheapest you could go all the way up to a ridiculous amount of which I will never get the money back out again. The accumulation of parts is part of the fun so my recommendation would be start with the receiver that you buy from s&p and shop for parts.

Started this project with the S&P Outfitters FDE receiver and barrel. FDE colors are difficult to match but I think the odd color was actually the receiver. I'll live with it..
Another groundhog / squirrel / crow getter..

Rush sight in job but very pleased for the first time out. Federal auto match high velocity. 3x power Nikon scope at 50 yards. Factory metal trigger I had hanging around with about a 8 lb trigger pull LOL

Oh man... Valentine's Day night and all I have to do is go to the range and then buy a stripped Charger receiver from S&P for another build I didn't know I was planning. Ahhh… but it's "stainless" so it's rare... and will be very valuable at some point in the near future.

I did shoot my most recent creation, also with the help of S&P Outfitters. I'm loving the feel of this Charger with the brace that I bought from another ODT brother recently. It's a tack driver and the Brimstone trigger is fantastic, however it's no better than my Kidd triggers and it took way too long to get back from Brimstone. Over 45 days, which seems kind of extreme. I do like it, however, and it's very crisp and smooth and breaks at about 2lb 3oz on average.

Full Bill of Materials:
SB Tactical Pistol Brace
Guntec pistol buffer tube (no internals)
Hogue Soft Rubber AR Grip
Ruger standard plastic trigger group
Brimstone custom trigger work with Bronze trigger
PMACA short chassis with custom black tube mount ring
PMACA long picatinny rail
Timber Creek foregrip for pistol
JWH Custom 10/22 competition bolt
KIDD charging handle
Ruger special run FDE Charger barreled receiver with thread protector (distributor special order, they say) and included Ruger scope rail.
UTG AIR32234 high one-piece 30mm scope mount
Burris Fullfield E1 3-9x42 Ballistic Plex scope w/ 30mm tube

Did I miss anything? Oh yea, one idiot with a credit card.

Stop just stop. I have a lot of 22’s and been thinking about a charger. Kinda like the new one with the picatinny hook up on the rear for a brace. May just put one together and throw the Franklin binary trigger in it whenever it starts shipping.

I am waiting for the Franklin trigger myself. This won't come as a complete trigger, but only internals. They could not get permission from Ruger because at some point in time Ruger probably thinks they will be outlawed. At any rate, I'm getting one, or two, or...

S&P has the tube adapters on sale right now. Two different brands. I think you have to already have the stock, but they can be had for about 25 bucks at Optics Planet or even cheaper at a gun show as a take-off part.

Good luck getting started. Or, just PM me your credit card information and I'll do all the shopping for you.

Already started a parts list so far I am at 800, or just buy the charger and brace. But I like the option of putting one together

Was my wife’s grandfathers, found it in his shed while helping my father in law clean up after he passed. It had no stock because it was pulled out of the ashes of his house fire about 15 years ago. New springs, new wood stock, and a hell of a cleaning and she eats 22 like a champ. Will make a cool thing to pass down to my son.
