10/22 Porn

I wish. Been a long long time.
Gathering the parts to build this. The screenshot pic is a 3D printed receiver pistol with a bunch of ebay parts. I dig it because well of course it looks ghetto as hell. Looks like a cut down factory 10/22 but not. So I already have a stock cut down and shaped how I want it. Got a barrel cut to 6.5" and a factory trigger group on the way. If Brownell's would hurry up and restock their receivers I would be close to done with my ghetto 22.

Will I picked up an early '70s 10/22 today. Yep 51 years old. A freakin' tank. Barrel band stock. And of course metal but plate.
All as the day it was made. Could not wait to get home, break it down and clean it. Then my heart began to sink as I tried to get the trigger assemble apart. All pins were rusted in place. Finally got 'em worked loose and out. It was very apparent that the rifle had not been serviced in 51 years. I can truly say it was the worse I have ever seen. Took me 3.5 hours to get it cleaned, lubed and put back together.
Topped it off with a ''SeeAll'' open sight. The only thing I replace was the recoil buffer pin. Put a nice quite one in.
It's a 10/22 rat rod!
