Stock looks redone? Is it?

Looks kind of shiny... But awesome!
Yes I am certain that it has been. Just a coat of poly I think. There have also been two holes filled on the other side where someone mounted sling studs on the side of the stock for some crazy reason. That's my guess anyway.

Order an extended rail from PMACA and replace the little short rail. That will move the AFG forward a bit and balance the whole thing out.

This is an 18 and 1/2-in barrel so I may swap out and put this in the long nose chassis. I have a SBX barrel that may look good in this shorter chassis.

Has anybody had any problems with trigger pins walking out of their Ruger BX trigger groups... I have one that is continuously walking out of the right side of the housing about every 50 shots or so... makes the rifle a single shot every time....

What am I missing?? How do they walk out if in the stock?? I have replaced a few of mine with the oversized SS pins.. Not because I have had issues with walking but more to provide a nice firm non wiggle fit..

Your not missing anything... this one group, the trigger pin keeps walking out of the housing pin hole about a quarter of an inch...just enough to stop the group from functioning properly... No...it does not fall out... With the pin now not secure in both holes, the trigger itself cants, and quits working as it should...

M4 type stock --it's a Knoxx Blackhawk.
Has 3.75" of range between fully tucked- in and fully extended.

Barrel is very old and worn original Ruger barrel, which has been cut and an M-16 birdcage welded on permanently for a length of 16.25". Welding ruined the bluing so I spray-painted the end.

OAL of rifle is 34 inches with the stock fully extended or 30 1/4 with the stock collapsed.

Weight is 4.5 lbs with TASCO red dot optic in place, but no magazine.

Here...finished taking the rifle apart... Pic
As you can see, the trigger pin has walked out of THE hole in the housing... And thereby, it will not shoot semi... You have to re rack the bolt every time to get it to fire...

Just thinking... It always walks out of the hole on the left side of trigger housing also...
