Check on eBay, JWH sells there often at lower prices than their web site. They have what they call a "sister" account called "my loss your gain". I bought mine for $65.00 plus $5.00 shipping. They were running a special.I'll probably get one of those bolts
So far I'm thinking a cst receiverI am going to see if they will make me a "Custom" engraved bolt.. LOL
It was this (pic below). Sold everything but kept the receiver to build a long gun. What kind of receiver is that?
Alright guys I'm itching for something new to tinker around with. I have two 10/22's, one with a rather nice walnut stock without the barrel band. It's a mid-90's make with metal trigger and I keep it around because the stock is so nice and it is fairly accurate. I also have the original birch stock that's gathering closet dust. The other is a standard synthetic stock that sports a the lasermax laser and I use it as my nightly armadillo killer, it is super accurate.
The itching isn't from a dirty woman but my plan for a suppressor in 2017 and while I could have the factory barrel threaded I just don't think it'd look right. A standard tapered barrel with a 1.25" suppressor on the end?
So I'm at a crossroads. At this point I have four options that I can see. Option 1: Buy a threaded bull barrel and a hogue stock and do away with the synthetic stock, accurate factory barrel and laser.
Option 2: Buy the 10/22 takedown target.
Option 3: Buy the 10/22 target tactical and have the barrel threaded.
Option 4: Build from the ground up as many of you have done.
Option 1 is obviously cheaper and can be done quickly since it is the cheaper route but the question is, what barrels should I consider?
The purpose of this is to have a hunt and paper punching accurate .22 that I can suppress while not looking awkward.
So, what say you?
NEVER EVER do this!!!! LOLOh, I forgot... let's add all this up to see how much I have "invested" in this Black Beauty.
Receiver & Trigger: $16... oh... NEVER MIND!
I'll probably get one of those bolts
Totally agree. This one was a freebie I had laying around for years. Thanks for the tip!Awesome.. Hey just a POV and I like suggesting where you should spend your money.. I know Harris is considered the "standard" but I find them to be a PITA to put on and off.. I think UTG is a cleaner look and much easier to remove or put back on because it goes on a short rail.. It connects to the factory stud.. I cant find a picture of my chargers or I would show you..
