10/22 Porn

Had the same issue with my Kidd barrel/ JWH Bolt

Scrub the chamber with a .243 bore brush really well, just the chamber. Grind off the crimps on the charging rod and polish it until you don't hear any zipping of the spring when you stroke it. The chamber of the Kidd barrel might be why the rounds aren't feeding. Do you have any extra power springs hanging around? Give the hammer a bit more push to chamber the round into the chamber.

Update: I didn't actually scrub the chamber with a brush, but I did use one of the @SchmittZoid magic cloths to completely polish the area where the casing slips in behind the extractor. I noticed in my earlier test that there was actually some color transfer from the brass, so it was logical that this area needed smoothed out. I removed the extractor so as not to damage it and went to town, rubbing and rubbing until this area was baby's-butt smooth. Took my useless little Fun Gun back to the range and proceeded to fire off about 100 rounds without a hitch at 50 feet. I moved this inexpensive Sightmark optic from another 10/22 and never touched the adjustments, so it looks like I've got the rails mounted properly on both. It could use some slight tweaking, but it's pretty good! Let the fun begin... and thanks for your help and suggestions! By the way; CCI SV all the way! This thing is going to be a sharp shooter!

UPDATE #2: I got an email from JWHCustom and they want me to sent the bolt back to them (at their expense) for some internal testing. They seem very concerned that the bolt is not working as designed since they pride themselves on making premium quality aftermarket parts. I'm considering it.
