I started with the flat hand file to remove the point. Finished the curve (word for that but can't think of it right now) with power tool.Makes doing the bolt hold open mod much easier doesn't it? Lot's better than a rat tail file..

I tried to get a black one and emailed them. Not in stock and no plans to have anytime soon. They had them on closeout for $65 recently.Anybody make a black bolt? I was looking at jhw I believe but I'd prefer a black one as usual lol
I bought one for my build project. Sweet black-out look on my Charger. Had a few issues with it at first, but got it working with some polishing. Runs like a top now. I put a little Sightmark Mini Shot sight on it and it's awesome, except the glass broke on the sight the first day using it. Still accurate as heck, but I hate the broken glass. Sure hope they honor their warranty.I tried to get a black one and emailed them. Not in stock and no plans to have anytime soon. They had them on closeout for $65 recently.
I think I found one for $80JWH offers a black one. Check their website or EBay. They sometimes have good deals there. "My loss your gain" is their "sister site" on EBay. I got one of their competitor bolts for $70.00 awhile back. It's usually around $100.
A Charger is always a Charger, regardless of barrel length. Just don't put a shoulder stock on it and you're good to go. The stubby Charger is the picture (which is ultra-sweet BTW) is akin to a Mare's Leg, which is also considered a pistol since it has no shoulder stock.View attachment 1015905 Forgive my ignorance, but is this Charger still cosidered a pistol, ie: no stamp required? I really like the look and have a great doner stock.
Thanks! Like I said, I like the look and now it's for sure one the short list.A Charger is always a Charger, regardless of barrel length. Just don't put a shoulder stock on it and you're good to go. Yes, the rules are completely stupid, but then... the gubment is involved.
