10/22 Porn

We should probably start (maybe it is out there but have not looked) a thread on scopes we use on our 22's.

I have a few Nikon's with BDC reticles.. I find the cross hair in the center is too dang thick for precision shooting.. I find I do better when I use the first circle down so I can "peek" through the circle and see my bull's-eye. Call it a Peep Scope.. LOL

Disclaimer: I am a armature shooter..

Man mine aren't quiet that tight,View attachment 1018868 but for a plumb stock 10-22 I guess I keep it...
All of the groundhogs I shoot are substantially bigger than this price sticker... so I think this group is perfectly adequate.

But if I'm shooting for pink slips, be warned... I'll be using my 1950 J.C Higgins Model 30 Snapper Raffle!

My newest rifle, LVT model built for "factory class" competition in ABRA. The only mods so far:
BSA Platinum scope
Brimstone tier 2 trigger job 2lb 3oz (very sweet!)
Kidd charging handle
Kidd mag release
Tuffer Buffer
Planned future mods:
Kidd bolt
Bedding the stock
Rechamber to match specs
I may change the scope out

It really likes CCI SV, which is great because $50 a brick beats $70-$90 for some of the other match ammo I tried.
