It is ugly as OP advertised but I got the receiver I needed with a few outstanding extra parts. 1988 model
I made a run at the 10/22 Mag today but another Ruger fanatic got the prize.
Sometimes when you go into the Pawn Shop, you just HAVE to leave with more than you came in with!
Oh, and at $150 bucks out-the-door, sometimes it's virtually painless!
1988 Model Carbine w/ Sporter Stock and original sling studs! Coolness for sure!
I have since done a complete tear-down, inspection and cleaning. It looks nice in these pictures, but it looks amazing now that it's clean. Can't wait until morning... it will be a bit "less clean" if you know what I mean!

Yes, all three have been hydro dipped with the accents finished with Cerakote. The entire action and barrel on the middle one was finished with Cerakote.
