10/22 Stainless and Blued with Wood?

I picked this little monster up a few years ago from a friend. My research says it's a 1984 manufacture. It is in Excellent condition aside from a chip in the wood near the ejection port, and slightly less than perfect bluing on the furthest half of the barrel.

I'm curious, is this a unique model? What do you think it's worth? I'm trying to decide what to do with it. I don't really shoot it, but it could be a great host for some solid upgrades.

most likely someone changed the barrel

To me it appears the finish has been stripped... may just be the photo.

I don't have any reason to believe it's not factory. But, I could always be wrong. No tinting for sure.

Ive never shot it. LOL Im going to remove the crazy looking rings someday.
