10/24 Deer Hunt

Covered in does this evening and still can't shoot 'em. In November when either sex rolls around I probably won't see nuthin' but squirrels. Congrats to all that scored.

Number 2 Son just connected with this one! His first Ga buck!
Hot on a doe..

That one looks about like the one I got. Nice to see foxes because that means the yotes haven't gotten everything yet. I'm heading down for a full day tomorrow as they have started making scrapes and we have rain coming.
I haven't seen any sign of or heard yotes here. Small miracle!

I don't think this area gets much hunting pressure, either. I was out this morning and this afternoon and only heard two shots. One of them was mine.

These are two of the three red foxes I saw from stand this evening. Could have killed any one of them. I'll be bringing my 17 HMR on deer hunts starting December 1st.

I also had a Fox Squirrel in the trees right behind me all afternoon.
A centerfire, Whitetail bullet may do less damage to the Fox than the .17 HMR. Should punch right through and not make a mess. All centerfire cartridges are now fox and bobcat legal in Ga. I killed a bobcat the first year that centerfire calibers were legalized for them and it made two small holes on. The way through.

What bullet were you shooting?
