10/25 Hunt. Buck down.

Been so busy working last 2 weeks.
Finally got into the woods tonight
And had a good feeling about the air.
I went to a spot I saw a lone deer running up a steep slope about 70 yards from my ladder the last time I hunted.
I decided to set up there this evening.
I laid down a scrape juice perimeter around my tree And misted it about every ten minutes while in my climber.
5 minutes after sunset this big boy came strolling down the hill right near my tree and stopped dead nose to the ground.
I let an arrow fly on his right side high aiming for the heart on the other side.
He ran off stumbling bad and I heard him crash and thrash.
It sounded like he was running further away making tons of noise as he went but turns out he was just thrashing in one spot about 20 yards away out of sight.
Easy 20 yard drag and I was able to grab the ATV and cart and haul him the rest of the way.
He’s a purdy one.
I’m bucked out now.

Great buck brother! Did you get him with the old faithful crossbow? I've seen lots of deer so far, just no shooter bucks. Congrats, you da' man!!

The arrow was still inside….dude at butcher cut that hole to retrieve the arrow.

I got him with my new faithful, the 335
Micro.
That thing is freakin sick man.
I accidentally ran over old faithful A couple years ago after loading up in the dark.
Went back and found it mangled from the truck tire….Dayam.
I’ve since got a exomax that took several deer but this micro is a whole new world
Of bad azz and it’s all I use now.

Yeah I remember when the one you got from me bit the dust, I was just wondering if you were still crossbow hunting. Sounds like a bad mofo, you've become a real expert at the ole' new style stick and string!
