10/26 Hunt

They are not even scraping down our way yet that I have found. Deer coming into the cooler yesterday also didn't have swollen necks yet either. Of course, it's Meriwether and temps are still flirting with 80 on a regular basis.

Saw a nice scrape on my way to my spot last night .
Was gonna set up overlooking it but all the trees in the area were pines that would need branches sawed all the way up the tree.
Didn’t feel like making the noise and being overheated by the time I got situated up the tree.

After work I may go out early and do just that.

My buddy watched a skinny spike for 20 minutes up the hill from me last night.
He also jumped one on his way out ....it ran towards me he said but I faintly heard something.

Oh and by the way I made sure I peed in that scrape and threw some seasonal deer pee on it also.

Apparently they are rutting hard in Gwinnett from this morning's report.

The buck in my buddy’s back yard in Cumming had a big old swollen neck.
I haven’t seen a whole lot of activity in Dahlonega but heard a couple chasing although the bucks I’ve seen didn’t appear swollen yet nor respondent to doe in estrous calls.
