10/30 hunt

Im glad y'all are seeing deer. I got skunked this morning in a stand I've never been skunked in. Really can't figure it out...dad and I saw 12 yesterday evening between us but nothing today. My trail cams indicate they are moving in the middle of the day and late afternoon. Guess I need to start sleeping in and hunt from 10:00 on. I don't know...maybe it's the full moon. It was sure bright at 6:00 this morning.

I saw 3 tonight. I had a spike show up about 30 minutes before dark and stayed until it was time to leave. I always feel stupid when I do it but one thing I do if I have deer near me when it's time to go is howl like a coyote. The deer just kind of ease off without spooking like they would if they see a human. Tonight I did the same thing but darned if a coyote didn't come into the food plot barking his head off while I was walking back down the road. It sure made me get back to camp a little faster lol.

Long story... but the wife did not find this amusing when I asked her to get the Ice out of the freezer at the cabin last year....
