100 round AR magazine

Just wondering what people think of this.
They have a 60 round version coming out also.

Pass thanks. It nearly doubles the weight of the rifle. Can't imagine it being all that great on the mag catch. Not to mention how you would fire the weapon from the prone position.

I had two on order. Canceled it. Got tired of waiting. Plus they dont fit my FN FS 2000.

Supposedly the argument is that it's not that much bigger than the standard ar mags, a lot smaller than the beta mags..personally I'll just rock some 30s

I would think the 60 round would be nice, same as having two 30 round clipped together, without having to swap.

Nice tacticool factor, but no real advantage in my opinion. 30 is more than enough.

I've played with them, haven't loaded it up and shot it. I will say the 100 round mag wasn't as long as I thought it would be and it was well made. Time will tell if its worth it though and at a $120+ a pop I don't think they are all that practical. Now bring the price down to $40-60 and you have something which is affordable and may have a use. Until then I'm relegating the surefire mags into the same box as my Beta, cool, but pricey and staying with my 30 and 40 rounders and working on reloads.

You think that until you actually get into some sh*t overseas. You will be amazed how fast 30 can get gone.

But they are very expensive. That would be the main turn off factor for me.

I think: PMAGs are less than $15. GI mags even less. That damn thing is like $200.
