11/17

Just had a young doe take her time passing by. Hear more movement from direction she came so hoping for more to pass. May take a mature doe but kinda got my heart set on a big ole buck.

We got distracted...no deer were harmed in the making of this weekends adventures. We did hike several miles of woods and might have some spots for next time.

Went on an afternoon hunt and the only thing I saw was a trash panda. Time to take a break until 2nd rut starts as there is nothing moving on our property. Didn't even eye shine any deer walking out.

I sat from 3pm to dark and only saw one small buck from 3-5pm. Saw quite a few does and yearlings between 5-5:30. Finally had a decent buck come by about 5:50. I started to let him walk and changed my mind at the last second. So he had a disagreement with the pointy end of a 180 grain soft point out of my 308.
