11/7 Deer Hunt - Be Sure and Bring Your Scuba Gear

Got in the stand about 2:30 this afternoon. Shot a coyote about 4. Tough son of a gun crawled off somehow. Stayed in the stand and shot a buck with 3 on the right and a broken main beam just above the brow tine on the left. I know, pics or it didn't happen, those are the rules, BUT, it was dark, cold beer thirty, and supper time. Goin' back out tomorrow and find that damn coyote. Sorry I don't have pics.:(
Congrats man! This week many ODTer's have been able to put some meat in the freezer.

This is me for the next 5 days.

It should pay off in the coming week. At least one of those does will go in heat, and when they do the stud in the area will clear out all the annoying little bucks. It might take two weeks. Sometimes those older bucks lay up until they cannot take it any longer. They let the young ones run around and go wild, like a child on Christmas morning, then the daddy finally gets up. Hell man I'm not telling you anything you do not know. Just a reminder those does will go in heat eventually.

Well today was a lesson in patience and not giving up when it seems a hunt is ruined. Even with auditions for the A-Team going on next door (now convinced it was someone teaching another how to use a SlideFire stock) AND all the quiet of trying to kill a couple dozen wasps 20' in the air, I STILL managed to see an 8pt tending a doe over the course of two hours and a separate doe chow down for half an hour.
I hit "post reply" on my last post and looked up to see the courted doe step out. Lol. Hang in there guys!
Yeah, I think it's about to get heated out there.
