Ashamed to say, I missed one this morning. Bumped 2 doe out the food plot on my way to the stand this afternoon. Fingers crossed something comes out before dark. I need some redemption.
And just like that, redemption x 2! Just gave 2 doe a dirt nap.
Yep had some big boss squirrels driving me nuts all evening.
Had some freezing rain start just at last 25 min of shooting light….was freaking beautiful out there in that rain.
Once the squirrels nested I had something big runnng around like crazy all over the other side of the knoll I was on.
I grunted a couple times and finally something started coming my way but it either froze or went full ninja on me but I didn’t see if hear anything once the noise stopped.
Sucks because it was getting closer and closer to the point where one more step and i would have seen it but nothing unless it was a 50# squirrel it was a deer…..lol.

Sure does. It was really damp in there this morning, so it was hard to hear anything moving around in the leaves.
I’m hitting it early again tomorrow
Couldn’t ask for a better end today! Shot her this morning and seared a back strap for dinner, less than 10 hours later.
I saw a tiny 8 pointer, half rack we call duck, and a medium size doe in the food plot.
