I can say for sure, I save a lot of money on metallic reloading. I can reload a premium bullet for $0.20 to $0.70 per round depending on cartridge. Low end bullets are $1 per bullet and some premiums can reach $2 or more. Then if you have an odd caliber, it can be even more. As for 45-70, I cast my own boolits and it currently cost me about $0.25 per shot. The cheapest factory fodder is $1.50 per shot.
